I wonder if there was any possibility that Brighton patients could be transitioned to residences closer to home, e.g. This would not have been a responsibility of Wingate most likely but would have been the right thing to do. I assume that any patient who is a long term resident of Wingate of Brighton would be on the Mass Health program and other facilities may have available beds for such patients or they could be on a waiting list. Just some thoughts from a "seasoned' community health and home care and hospice nurse. I would be happy to help if there is a plan to intercede for the patients.
